Noticing beautiful moments makes me happy; the sun streaming though a wooden fence and leaving its bright yellow, geometric mark on the green leaves makes my heart skip a beat. Seeing the beauty in the small and inconsequential truly electrifies me. My artwork is a reflection of this in that I cut out small sections of magazine pages that catch my eye and then make new art with them. Sometimes it’s the color, other times it’s the texture, or it can be the way shapes interact with one another - I appreciate the unintentional ‘moments’ and honor them by cutting them out. Curating the small moments and organizing them into new art is rewarding for me.  It’s a privilege to give their individual beauty a new voice.
